Teen Contemporary Modern

Ages 12-16. This 90 minute class draws from a wide range of modern dance techniques to introduce movement exercises that develop proper body alignment, strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and body awareness. Students will increase their ability to make active choices about energy and effort in order to accurately express themselves though movement. Tools such as improvisation, musicality, personal play, light partnering, and positive risk are applied to various movement exercises and phrases throughout the class.
